Shoppingmum’s Office Life

Office life in a foreign land

Back At Work

It took me awhile to get used to my work desk after our vacation, and I needed 3 cups of coffee to peak me up yesterday. Luckily, I managed to sneak out for banking and grocery shopping, if not I would be bored to death at the office. LOL!

I’m feeling better today, and in fact, I think everyone gets back to work as normal now. The Christmas tree was taken down, and the office furniture was arranged to its usual setting.

Nonetheless, I will have a short break soon this month. Even if we are staying in Thailand, but we will still celebrate Chinese New Year among ourselves. Tradition must be carried out!

Blogging now

I’m back home tonight but we are leaving again tomorrow for the second half of our vacation. But before I can get some rest, I have to get those pending offers done tonight so that I can leave with a peace of mind. I don’t think I will bring along my laptop, but then we are driving this time, so I can over pack. LOL!

So, right now, I’m typing like a freak under the lighting and it’s something I haven’t done for months. I seldom blog at night because I am too lazy for it but tonight, it’s different…

A Better New Year

I really hope that our company will grow well next year, and bring us some profit in the next few months. The market is very slow here due to the recession, but we shouldn’t give up. We haven’t given up everything back home to start over again, and after taking such a big risk, I really hope that we will excel in some way.

In the mean time, I won’t be buying anything too expensive. So, I definitely can’t afford to get any holsted jewelry now. With the equavalent amount of money, I would rather get a nice camera. LOL!

So, I’m praying for a better year for our business next year, despite the market meltdown. Wish me luck.

Close Comments

Some of my older posts are still receiving comments, but I don’t feel like answering them anymore. I can’t even remember about what I wrote, so I think I better close the comment section after some time.

I haven’t search for the plugin, but that’s something I will do when I get back to work. I’m still on vacation, and right now, I’m waiting for my flight!!! Who has the mood to look for a plugin now?

So, I will look for it when I get back to work. That reminds me that I have to print some brochures, make some rubber stamps and work on the website too! Gosh, I hate to go back to work.

“Working” on Vacation

I can’t believe it, I have some pending offers on my vacation! LOL! There’s nothing much to complain as it’s hard to get any offers lately, so if I get any, it’s a “blessing”. :) Most of my blogs are created during the peak of blogging for money, and since 2 years ago, they hardly make much. Thus, it’s always something good if you are being paid to write, and don’t whine about it.

I’m having a vacation now, but I will still do my best in completing the offers. In fact, I’m waiting for my flight back to Bangkok at Chiangmai Airport, and I’m blogging for money now. LOL! I don’t want to waste any of them. They might not be as much as I used to get, but again, I’m happy about it. Besides that, I have nice coffee from espresso machines to peak me up now, so what else should I be asking for?

Oh ya, Happy New Year, and may you have a nice holiday too.

Beauty Jobs

I have a few friends with jobs in the beauty industry, and previously, I thought of working for cosmetic companies too because I know that most of them provide makeup training and you can get some freebies within the quota, if you hit the sales target. It sounds like a good job for women, especially to someone like me who loves shopping for skincare products.

One of my aunt works for Estee Lauder for 20 years now, but she doesn’t look her age. I think all those free skincare products help her to maintain her beauty, and she has really nice skin! So, if you are interested in beauty jobs, check out the link provided ok?

Vacation Month

I was away on a trip last weekend, and I have 2 more trips to go soon. It’s more about traveling until the new year, and even if I have some work to do, my heart is wandering elsewhere. LOL! I really wonder how some people can work all year long without a vacation. Don’t you think it’s boring?

If I’m a Seattle injury lawyer who earns a lot of money a year, I will surely plan a month away for a nice vacation. That will be something I wish to do in years to come. But then, one month away sounds like very long huh? Will hubby be retiring by then? LOL!

Just Links

I have no background in medical field, but then, like most bloggers who do paid reviews, we can just write anything. LOL! Let it be mesothelioma or whatever medical related topics, just give us the contents for us to go through and we will be able to come out with the minimum word counts. It sounds like cheating but then it’s all about selling links. No wonder Google hates us so much. LOL!

That’s why don’t believe everything you read online, unless the source is reliable. LOL! But then, you will never know.

Data Compilation

I noticed that my salesman has stopped giving me the new customer list, which is requested if he finds any new potential customers. I would like to compile the data and computerize the details so that it’s easier for me and hubby to refer if it’s needed. So far, I only backup our company information and important documents inCDs. But maybe we should have data protection solutions to ensure that our data is not stolen or lost.

I should probably check out Syncsort’s products one day and see if I can find anything suitable. But before that, my salesman better be more prompt in submitting his data. I need the data to do my job well!

Thailand’s Politic is Still Unstable

Even if the seize is over, and some of the parties had been dissolved by court’s order, but the political scene in Bangkok is still not stable yet. The thing is, I don’t think the Thai people understand how democratic works. If they don’t see their preferred leader in the lead, they will fight for it and tearing the country apart doesn’t seem to bother them.

I hope that before they start out any protest, think about the effect on their country’s image and economy first. Don’t put salt on the wound anymore.
