Seems like most of the companies I’m working on have come out with rating systems. It’s a good news for advertisers as most bloggers will make the effort of coming out with better quality posts, instead of making them for money only.

Now, Blogitive has come out with their rating system:

New Rating System

We are always trying to improve the quality of posts for clients, as well as get more offers for our bloggers. With that in mind, we are rolling out a new quality rating system. This will allow our internal editors to rate a blog posting on a scale of 0 (lowest) – 5 (Best). This will accomplish a couple things. First, we see some issues with bloggers accepting too many offers and trying to get through them all by duplicating posts, or using as little as words as possible. Obviously we do not want all the posts for our clients to just hit the minimum amount of work. We also hear from a lot of our bloggers that they don’t see offers. This is often because bloggers with a lot of blogs log in and grab all the offers before anyone else gets the chance to review them. We are always trying to improve the quality of posts for clients, as well as get more offers for our bloggers. With that in mind, we are rolling out a new quality rating system. This will allow our internal editors to rate a blog posting on a scale of 0 (lowest) – 5 (Best). From now on, people who do the best jobs on their post will get ranked better. The better the rank, the more offers you will see. When a new offer goes live, that offer will only be seen by people who are ranked at 5 for the first 48 hours. After that, the offer will go to bloggers ranked 4 or 5 for the next 48 hours. This continues down the list. Because each post is ranked individually, and then averaged into your total score, bloggers always have the ability to raise their score and get more offers. Everyone is starting at a 5. This will allow more bloggers who put additional work into their post to see more offers. The things we look at when rating a post is word count, grammar errors, etc… No special tricks, just write good articles. A rating of zero for a post is a ban. We have had the ability to ban bloggers for some time within the system, but have only used it once. These are internal ratings, so we will not disclose what your rating is, and it’s probably going to be changing a lot anyway.

Now that got me thinking, how good were my posts for Blogitive, and where do I stand? I have mulitple blogs approved by Blogitive, but sometimes, I can’ write the same topic for all my blogs because they have to be unique, and mind you, it’s not easy to come out with the same anchor text different, especially if I would like the contents to fit in my blogs. So, I let go of the offers or let them expire.

Well, it’s better than getting a bad rating from advertisers.
