A few of my friends have followed my footstep and started blogging for money. Some of them purposely started blogging just to make money, and they will monetize their blogs as soon as 90 days old.

But before they start doing it, I told them that don’t just start a blog for money because if you don’t have any offers, you will still have to post on the blogs. Thus, it would be better to have a niche blog which they have the interest in writing in. If not, they will soon think that blogging is a waste of time.

One of them had recently complained to me that she didn’t have many offers from the companies I told her to apply for. But the thing is, for most blogs, once you started paid posts, it is as good as dead. Most readers will run away from blogs full of paid posts, so you have to be prepared of this. Paid posts are mostly for SEO, not for the readers, unless you have very good fillers posts in between that attracts your readers.

She almost quit, but this evening, she told me that she started on back again because she had a few offers already and can’t wait to get start. See, blogging for money is great, but let’s start with blogging for fun first, then only the money. If the money is not there, will you just dump your blogs?

I surely won’t. In fact, I have 2 organic blogs which I love.
