I was chatting with my SIL about her beauty blog. Initially, she bought the domain because she wanted to sell her own beauty products from her mother’s company. Since the products were not ready, she set up the domain as her beauty blog first. But wow, she is in dilemma on how to proceed from here. I told her she should have reserved the domain as the product website and use a sub directory as beauty blog. She can also set up a web store if she wants too.

Besides that, it’s all about Branding. Even if she told me that her product is good, I can’t recall the name of the product! If the product has an unique and appropriate brand name, it will be easily for consumer to remember it. If you ask me to get a skincare range that I have hardly heard of, I won’t buy it, no matter how well you claim it is.
