I was hit pretty badly at the recent page rank updates as my blogs dropped at least 2 notches each. But I learned something from this as I have had enough moaning, it’s time to get up from the fall and look forward. So, now I know that:

  • Don’t take your page rank for granted. If you are a PR4, that doesn’t mean you will have it forever as the rule of the game can change whenever the big G wants.
  • You can still make money by selling links, but the risk is even higher now.
  • If you have a lot of readers, your blog still still be ok no matter what. (This one is really hard to get!)
  • Select paid posts well, those which want permanent links, you will have to judge if they worth the price.
  • If you are joining some network that requires you to put up badges or links, think twice before pasting the codes.
  • If you have blogroll, think about the bloggers you link. If it’s only for exchanging link, drop it.
  • It’s time to build up my new blogs. All niche, and some have PR1 now. It’s better than a zero.
