I found out about this from my WordPress dashboard. Gosh! I’m glad to know about this too! My mothering blog has always been suffering from spam comments even if I have Akismet installed. Some of the spams were not being captured by Akismet so I had to delete them off everyday.

If Defensio works, I will be glad! Of course, we need to sign up for API and and it’s free anyway. I’m trying it out on my mothering blog first and see if it’s good at filtering those spam comments away.
