One of my blog buddies are thinking about changing her phone. It’s normal. Since most of us started blogging seriously, we have desire to get the latest PC, the latest iMac, the latest phone and etc. That’s why I ended up with Nokia N95, even if it’s so expensive the time when I got the phone. She’s asking me if she should get it, so I come out with a simple review of a tech idiot who only knows how to use the phone on the surface. LOL!

Advantages:

  • Big screen, you can see anything clear, that’s for sure.
  • Great color resolution as I watched some clips before and they were great. The same clips on other phone looked “dull” as comparing to my phone.
  • Great camera with Carl Zeiss optics and at 5 megapixels, you can go out with the phone by leaving your digital camera behind. But if you have a dSLR, bring it along.
  • If you are really into multimedia, it’s a good phone. I don’t even use it as a music player, but the based on my ring tones, the stereo sound is great!

Disadvantages:

  • I’m using Fring, the mobile MSN sometimes, and I notice that my phone battery dies out faster. Frankly, the cell life is not that long and if you are constantly connected to retrieve emails or msn directly, it will just go flat in 2 hours. I have to go out with the charger sometimes, and it’s annoying if I can’t remember that!
  • It’s bulky. It’s not a lady phone. If you want to look chic and feminine, forget it. Get another model.
  • It’s damn expensive!!!
  • I wonder if it’s just me that click so fast when I’m getting on the web and my N95 hanged for a few times. Gee…my thumb is too fast is it? LOL!
  • As for GPRS, I haven’t used it at all.

So, if you are looking for a nice smart phone, you may get it if you don’t mind about the $$$. But I won’t get another N95 if I’m changing mine.
