It might help in promoting your sites as well as standing a better chance with higher page rank due to the significant numbers of incoming links.

However, if you are looking for better results, you can always opt for Search Engine Optimization from various SEO companies if you can afford to pay for the service. But you can’t expect to see the results in less than 6 months as it takes time to build a website and optimize it further.

Some bloggers claimed that they can hit great results in SERP if their blogs have the right keywords. For personal websites, there is no harm trying out your own SEO skills or taking the advice of other bloggers. But if I have my own business, I would surely hope that the website is optimized by SEO experts working in respectable companies. After all, who doesn’t want a search engine friendly website?
