Saving on Electricity Bills
My friend had just told me this afternoon that her father is launching a power saving plan at home. No fan or air-con is allowed to be switched on if no one is using it. Her children should be taught on how to turn them off if they are leaving the room too.
Actually, I let my kids get used to the idea of switching off the fan if they are not using it. But it’s quite hot in the afternoon and even if you pull down all the window blinds, it’s not easy to stand the heat without turning on the air-con. But turning on and off the air conditioning will only cost more money as it needs time to stabilize. So, I just can’t leave without air-conditioning!
But there’s one thing I can do about power saving. I won’t let my laptop run for long hours like it used to be. I used to turn it on all day long even if I was out and about. So I will turn it off now. And we will try to open all the windows of the house for better ventilation too, and since it’s always raining in the evening, we might just turn off the fan. My house is pretty windy with all the windows, but I hope that the rain is not splashing in. LOL!
Mmm….I wonder how much will we be paying for electricity bills in Bangkok later? Will it be as much as we are doing now?
