Some people are complaining that the economy is really bad and it is getting harder to run a business. I’m truly aware of that especially we are starting all over now. But to some businesses, they don’t seem to be affected by the current situation, or maybe I’ve just missed it?

The situation is almost the same here, as comparing to our home town. But the spending power in Bangkok is still quite strong. I saw shoppers buying daily stuffs, pet supplies, clothes and accessories the same as before. But one of the restaurant owners told us that business has been pretty bad for the past 2 weeks. The patrons are getting lesser, even if the place used to be packed and all queued up by eager diners.

So have you cut down your spending lately? Or still spending as usual? My shopping trips are increasing, but only for food and grocery. As for my luxury spending, I can’t seem to find time for that. Signing up an expensive spa treatment will be a “sin” when the going gets bad huh? :P
