We went to pick up hubby’s eyeglasses from an optical shop yesterday, and as usual we were pleased with the service. Most of the time, we will get a friendlier service here since we are expats. But then, we found out that we have paid more for the glasses! BIL bought a pair of glasses there too, but he was given 50% discount, instead of our 30%. He speaks Thai fluently, and he really looks like Thai! Unlike us, we are the expat look who can’t speak much. :P

Gosh, the price difference is a lot! Besides that, this is not our first experience where we have to pay more than the locals. I guess we will have to get used to the fact that we are foreigner, so there is a price to pay for it.
