Sick Leave
Our company website has launched for months, but I don’t see a lot of responses yet. I know that I should put in more effort in building this website, but I’m too busy with other administrative jobs for the time being. If only we can afford to get the help from some New York IT Consulting firm to help us out!
Yesterday, our salesman didn’t turn up at work. Hubby couldn’t get him on the phone so both of us thought that he could either be very sick or he decided to quit his job without notice. It’s quite common for new employees to quit their work without notice, especially after they have received their paycheck last month. We were mentally prepared to hire another new salesman, if he didn’t turn up for work again! However, he did show up and he was on a sick leave yesterday. He can’t talk much with a toothache. LOL!
If you are wondering why can’t we message him, well, he can’t read English while we can’t type Thai. We still have communication barrier, but he is keen to learn about our products. It’s not easy to hire someone who’s willing to work with a foreigner boss who can’t speak the local language well!
So, this salesman better sticks to us so that I can concentrate on administration and hubby can do his part well. Life is getting busier at the office…
