I’m going to begin this article by saying thank you for reading. It means a lot to me. Also, I don’t want this to come off as overly negative. But, I’m certainly going to move on to a complaint. Now, I’m not complaining about you, or anybody in particular, except maybe the people who manage some of these stock photography sites that I have been using for the last few weeks.
Many of these sites are absolutely brutal.
Unfortunately, stock photography is actually incredibly essential if you are looking to create, maintain, and publish a blog or other type of online publication. Unless you have the resources, financially and personnel-wise, to employ an original photographer, or buy high-quality photographs from one, you will likely end up using stock photos. Stock photos are generally quite lame. That is one of the things I’ve learned since I began blogging.
Until the last few days, I just accepted this struggle as part of life, as a sort of annoying part of choosing this as a thing that I do. That is, of course, until I found the solution.
Solutions are a funny thing. If you’re anything like me, you are skeptical at first, and remain doubtful until something has absolutely proven itself to be worthwhile. That was definitely my experience with EyeEm, a site that provides the Stock Photos that I so sorely needed and desperately depend upon as a blogger.
This site, though, has proved itself to be one of the few things that comma after enough time experimenting with, I lost all skepticism in pessimism about, and had no reason to be afraid to dive in and commit to using. Seriously, this is an absolutely brilliant source of stock photos, and I thank the heavens that it exists. There’s simply nothing else like it that I found online, and I absolutely recommend it to anybody who ever need stock photos for anything. Trust me, it is better than the competition, and I’m not even being paid to say that, I am just a huge fan.
