Got My Cheque

I’ve just got my Adsense cheque and I’m so happy about it! The amount of money is very little, and I should need a lot more cheques before I can get myself a romantic cancun vacation, but still I’m very happy about it. It’s free money, and who doesn’t like money that comes free, especially to a blogger like me who blog leisurely?

But then again, I do hope that one day I can make enough passive income to get myself a nice trip to Cancun. I may not know how yet, but let’s see if I can find something to do here. LOL!

Another Check Coming!

All this time, I don’t do well in Adsense, and I hardly pay much attention on it. But I found out that I’ve just hit the limit this morning and I can get another check soon! That’s pretty amazing to someone who didn’t do much on SEO or what-so-ever hard work on her blogs. LOL!

Too bad I still can’t cash out with Western Union in Thailand, so I can only receive check. But then again, it’s still free money!

Miscalculation?

I found that my Adsense earning shown is not accurate, based from my previous payment record. The total earning is lesser from what I supposed to get, if I get the total sum by months. Funny…Is there a mistake? LOL! Luckily, I’m not surviving on that amount of earning, which is quite little and can’t even buy me a laptop over years!

But I’m quite surprised to see the different totals, as I thought Google won’t make mistake!

Got the Cheque!

I received my cheque from Google Adsense last week but I can’t bank it in here! I don’t have a work permit so I can’t have my bank account, even if it’s a joint account with hubby. It seems like without a work permit, I can’t do much with anything under my name.

So, the only way is to send the cheque back home and ask my dad to do me a favour. Sigh….being an expat without a work permit sucks!

Adsense Is Progressing

I’m glad to see that my adsense earning is making a progress, even if it’s very slow and little. I have never placed any hope in adsense as I don’t know much about keyword optimization, and I don’t use softwares for my sites. Besides that, I don’t need the money. LOL!

But then, I’m happy to see the progress, even if it’s not sufficient to buy me any diet pills, and let alone a nice pair of shoes! I wonder how long will it take before I can cash out the money? Hopefully, it will arrive before Christmas.

Adsense Running On The Blog

I’m so glad to see the Adsense ads working on the blog now, it’s been missing for days and I was wondering about it. I won’t be getting a lot of clicks as usual, but if it’s working, there is always a possibility. I have to stay optimistic about Adsense, if not, why am I putting in the codes?

It might not be able to make me a lot of money, but it’s not messing up my blog space either. So I will put up the codes for all my blogs. I’m not desperate for the money, as long as it’s growing slowly, there is still hope. Isn’t it Vedis?

What’s Wrong with Adsense?

I can’t seem to see any Adsense ads besides the standard Gulf Hurricane Relief ads for days. I wonder if something is wrong with this blog? Or my blog is not packed with the right keywords? LOL!

I really wish that I can see some other ads related to work from home or interesting stuffs like Nike golf equipments. No wonder my earning from Adsense is so lousy. There’s nothing interesting to click around here!

Earning From Adsense Is Hard, But…

I don’t do well with Adsense but I put up the codes for all my blogs. Sometimes, I still get some clicks and I’m happy with those little amount of money I make. It’s true that niche blogs are better as comparing to general blogs when it comes to getting clicks on Adsense as most of our readers won’t click them but organic visitors will. My fashion and mothering blogs are making well occasionally, but too bad I don’t have much time developing them now.

Who cares if you are writing about portable oxygen concentrators or some chicken recipes on your blogs as long as they fit the niche? If the posts remain long enough, they will be discovered sooner or later by search engines. But then again, a higher pagerank helps a lot.

So, my blogs may not be updated as frequent as before, but if they have the right keywords, they still stand a chance with Adsense. I don’t care if it’s taking me forever to reach that payment, seriously, I’m not desperate either.

Removing Adsense Referral Program

I guess being in Asia is an advantage at all when it comes to making money on the internet. Firstly, we were geographically segmented out by some networks and now Adsense is kicking us out, except if you are staying in Japan. The referral program is not working for us anymore as according to the latest payout structure by Adsense:

- If you’re outside of North America, Latin America, and Japan, AdSense referrals will be retired.

So, what do you think about this?

For publishers not located in any of the three regions detailed above, we’ll soon be retiring referrals promoting AdSense. We’ve found that this referral product has not performed as well as we had hoped in these regions. Again, please keep in mind that you can still generate referrals for the other products listed under the ‘Referrals’ section of your AdSense Setup tab.

Soon, you’ll no longer see the option to create a referral button for AdSense in your account, although existing buttons will display as normal. This specific referral type will then be retired during the last week of January – any users who meet the conversion criteria (reaching $100 in earnings within 180 days of sign-up and removing all payment holds) before the change will generate earnings of $250 for the referring publishers. Any conversions which occur after this change is made will not be recorded in your account. You may wish to begin replacing any existing referrals promoting AdSense with referrals for another product or an AdSense for content unit.

I’ve removed all my Adsense referral buttons and links this morning. No point wasting my blog space on something which is dying soon.
