Superstitious

I’m superstitious. I prefer number 8, but not number 13. I was worried that my kids were born on 13 as their birthdays might fall on Black Friday. As much as it won’t mean anything in their lives, but I don’t like the number.

That’s why I don’t fly on 13, or do anything important on that day. The same goes to Chinese lunar month. I prefer not to go for holiday in the 7th lunar month, as it’s the ghost month.

Ok, call me superstitious. But I was brought up that way.

Hard Work

I’ve just realized that SIL’s car is one year old now, and she’s renewing the insurance. I’m not sure if she gets any cheap auto insurance quotes, but since her company is paying for it, who cares? LOL!

Their business is growing very well, and they are setting up branches in other parts of Thailand and also in Hong Kong. I’m so happy for them! Their hard work really pays off.

So, when will my hard work be paid off? A year from now? Hopefully.

I better work harder then.

A night at the hospital

I spent a night with my kid at the hospital since he was admitted due to influenza A. It’s very tiring for me, and even if I have a lot of work to do, all shall be delayed as my kid comes first in my priority list. I could have done some with if there is a rack mount computer in the room. Even if I have my laptop in the car, I don’t have wireless connection in the room.

So, it’s a good night nursing a sick kid without doing any work. But then, it’s a worrying and tedious night for us too. He’s back at home now, and I shall take care of him at home. I might be working from home too. Let’s see how.

Perfect Gift

I hate thinking about buying gifts, so I hardly get any pressie for anyone, except my kids. They will tell me what they want and it’s easier to fulfill their “dreams”. As for my friends, not all is willing to tell you what they expect to have on birthdays or special events. Mostly are too shy or polite to speak their minds.

So, maybe I will just get them some buy.com coupons or cash vouchers. They can just purchase anything they want at the selected stores and I won’t risk getting the wrong gifts.

I hope that hubby can get me some cash vouchers too. LOL!

Busy Workaholic

A lot of people mistaken that I have a fairly easy life. Frankly, I have my stress and worries too. It’s not easy running a biz on your own, especially since hubby is very busy with his work as well. Every month, I need to work on the sales target, control the expenses, figuring out how to pay the suppliers, collecting payments from customers, learning more about new products and applications and etc. My list goes on, and there has never been a day when I can go home with a peaceful mind, until I see my kids.

After that, it’s all about going back to the role of becoming a mother. It’s only after I’m done with the cooking and such, then I will turn on my laptop and get back to working from home. Gosh, I really sound like a workaholic. LOL! That’s why I don’t have much time for shopping nor checking out the piling brochures of nice houses with fancy Kwikset anymore.

But then, I know that my effort will bear fruit one day.

Long Weekend

It’s the long weekend in Thailand but I’m still working today, and also on Tuesday. Nonetheless, I might call it a day after this evening and enjoy 3 days of busy life as a mother. I wish that I can rest but it’s impossible.

The shopping malls should be pretty crowded this weekend, so I don’t think hubby is keen for shopping. I can’t afford to get any loose diamonds or LV this month either, so no shopping for the pathetic shoppingmum la.

Health

I know that I’m taking my healthy for granted. I always love spicy food, hardly exercise, and prefer to rot in the sun when I’m on vacation. I’ve done nothing to make my body feel stronger, so I would probably need a guaranteed life insurance with no health questions.

I can’t remember when was my last pap smear, but I know that it’s about time I go for a check up. Sigh…I really hate the procedure but still, what must be done, should be done.

Big Fat Tummy

The worst thing about working at the office is, I sit too much! I hardly get up and walk around as my work is generally involve giving instruction, reading emails and trying to locate a product online. So, I might need a stomach fat loss product for my big fat tummy soon!

I used to have very flat and toned tummy before I moved here as I had time for yoga. But now…sigh…

Even if some said that I lost weight, but I feel flabby all over. God, please provide me with more time in a day, and more cash too so that I can do the things that I want instead of running a biz.

I don’t care if I have a lot of workload piling on my table, I really need to go grab some grocery today. It’s been days since I last stocked up my fridge and it’s getting empty! Besides that, I need to find time to grab shampoo for thin hair, toilet rolls, a bigger pots, and etc. The list goes on…

It’s Friday, and I deserve to take a break!

If I may, I prefer to go shopping for shoes and clothes. But I don’t have the time for that now. How pathetic!

Vitamins

My kids take vitamins once in a while because MIL sends a lot of them from M’sia. I’m not sure if they are having the best multivitamin but they do give me a peace of mind when my kids are not eating well for some particular day.

I prefer them to eat healthy instead of swallowing pills but then you just can’t help thinking of the kids are having enough. Anyway, they are not taking the vitamins everyday so I don’t have to worry about overloading too.

Talking about vitamins, it’s been weeks since I last swallow one. Gosh, I really hate swallowing pills!
