Super Hot Summer

The weather is getting unbearable hot in Thailand. Some times, it’s as hot as 40 deg in the day, and I’ve almost got myself roasted by staying outdoor. It’s not that I love to be in the sun but I have some errands to run and I need to be out and about. I don’t need any sunless tanning booths to get myself a good tan!

I should be applying sunblock but I’m too lazy to do so in the morning rush. Sigh…

I will look very dark this summer. Hopefully, the tan will go off by end of the year during the cool weather.

Holiday

I’m just back from a trip last night and oh boy, I’m still exhausted. I think I always need a holiday to recuperate from another holiday. Sort of like a linear motion kind of thing. Cause and effect LOL

Since we hardly have time for holiday as hubby is always working, it was a good idea to bring the kids away to the beach for a short trip before they complain that they don’t go anywhere during school break. Actually, I wanted to bring them abroad but as their school fees have just increased, it’s best to put this idea aside.

Maybe next school break? See how.

Recycling water

I’m trying to reuse the water released from our air-conditioning by collecting it in rain barrel downspout and use it to water the plants. If there is more, I will use it for cleaning up the balcony. We could have just dispose the water but why should we waste it?

It’s slightly inconvenient to collect the water each time the air-cons are turned on, but after a while, I’ve got used to doing so.

But for my new house, in the future, I will probably replan the whole thing. LOL!

Works everywhere

Being a working mom without a helper, I’m always on the go to run errands, picking up kids, buying grocery, and spending some time at the office as well. But I must say, it would be nice to have mobile computer workstations at those common places which I go frequently.

Currently, I’m relying a lot of my iPhone. Without it, my life won’t be complete. LOL!

Music

Hubby has nephew and niece who studied music abroad and now they are teaching music as a profession. Some times, the nephew will perform on private function, and it pays well! Most importantly, they collect CASH!

If they are into music composition, I bet they will make even more. It’s not that hard to make music, with tools like Cakewalk Software, and even Apple apps, as comparing to those good old days. I found a lot of talents on YouTube alone.

I’m not sure if my kids will end up being musician, but I don’t mind investing if they are interested in music.

Riding on bike

Each time I drive past a motorcycle, I will try my best to avoid it, instead of going too close. It’s pretty common seeing a family of 4 or 5 riding on the same bike, especially since my office is located out of the busy Bangkok city. Some times, it dreads me to think what would have happened if the bike was hit? Will the kids and baby get hurt as none of them are wearing bell motorcycle helmets nor kiddie helmet?

You can question the parents’ ignorance, but with their lower education level and financial ability, it’s quite hard for them to get a car.

Anniversary

Our dating anniversary is just 2 weeks away, and I haven’t decided if I should get a personalized anniversary gifts for husband. The thing is, hubby is not the type that fancy giving presents, so I can’t be bothered about it since years ago. I doubt there will be any big pressie for me as it’s due to pay the kids’ school fees, AGAIN! So, there goes my fancy Channel 2.55….make it 2 bags!

But I guess we might just have a nice dinner at home, if I feel like cooking. If there is a babysitter, I would love to go for movies! With hubby alone please.

Cleaning

What gift should I ask for my anniversary? One of those princess cut engagement rings? Or a bag? Or most practical gift will be a reliable and efficient part time cleaner for me! LOL!

I’m so tired of cleaning up these days, some times, I can’t even be bothered to vacuum. But with the reno starting again, I must at least clean up the mess before my kids come home. That means I’m getting busier.

But looking at the bright side, I will have more exercise to tone up my body.

A friend had just given birth to her 6th baby, so should I send a cookie bouquet present to congratulate her? Yes, 6th baby.

She’s blessed with 3 beautiful girls and boys now, and I truly admire her courage of doing this child bearing process over and over again. I don’t mind doing it if I’m some bimbo rich tai tai which a lot of money to spend on hiring nanny, maid, driver and etc. But if I’ve got to do this on my own, forget it then.

The Cowboy State

I love living in Wyoming. It is known as the “Cowboy State”. We get this nickname from being such a large state, yet being the second least densely populated state in the United States of America. You kind of have to have a little cowboy in you to make it our here. We live way up in the mountains, not close to anyone else. My family has owned the beautiful land we live on for over 50 years. It is nice being secluded from everyone else, but sometimes can be a bit hard to deal with. We recently went to http://www.Direct.TV/ and signed up for DirectTV. We get bored up here in the mountains sometimes, so it is good for us to have something like television to keep our minds busy. This really comes in handy when the weather is bad and we can’t go outside. Another thing I have also started doing is reading. I love to get a book, sit in my recliner with a cup of coffee and immerse myself into the story.
