Life in a foreign land

Boring Life

Honestly, I think my life is pretty boring. I’ve been too busy with work, kids and home, I don’t have much time to do anything special or exciting. With limited friends around, I don’t even have any wedding invitation, let alone Baptism invitations or baby showers!

It’s been awhile since I go to a party, so I have stopped shopping for party clothes. I don’t feel like shopping until we have moved into our condo. After that, I should be shopping for winter clothing. I might be making a trip to oversea for training. So I guess that’s the most exciting thing which happens to me for the past few years!

Diamond!

I love diamond rings, the bigger the stones the merrier. LOL!  Too bad hubby and I have too many commitments these few years and I can’t go jewelry shopping. I hope that he will give me my dream cushion diamond ring one day, one that blinks enough to make my eyes sore. LOL!

How I wish that day will come true soon. :)

Tow Service

I wonder if we need a good breakdown service for our cars? Who knows? We might need a good tow car if our cars have ever broken down in the middle of nowhere. Ever since my car refused to be started a couple of weeks ago, I’ve started to have this phobia.

If hubby is around then I don’t have to worry much. But since I’m on my own most of the time, I must think of an emergency plan. With my language barrier, it would be hard to explain where I am!

So should I get one?

Money!

It’s beginning of the month and I’m already thinking about payday advances. Why? It’s because it’s time of the month to pay for furniture, renovation, next term school fees and etc. We are gonna be more broke. :P

I should make more money!!! That’s the only solution. Actually, it should be hubby should make more money! LOL!

So, how are we going to go though these 3 months? God knows.

Almost

We almost hit the monthly target! Just a bit more and I will be in cloud nine or shopping at dereon. Too bad, we still haven’t hit the desired amount again this month. Sigh…

Nonetheless, it’s pretty close, and I’m pleased about the company’s performance. We have to do better as we are running on high overhead cost now. But my new staff is very good, so far she’s good at her work even if she’s inexperienced.

Now, we have to plan for next month’s sales.

Squash

I haven’t played squash all my life. Not that I don’t have a chance, as our old club back home is fully equipped with all sorts of sports facilities. But I’m such an idiot when it comes to sports. The ball hits me more than I manage to hit it! LOL! That’s why I might need a pair of squash goggles if I want to try squash.

So, should I give it a try? LOL!

Exercise

It’s a life long struggle for most women to stay in shape, let alone by exercising or taking stuffs like fat burners. I choose to stay healthy by eating well but I hardly exercise. I’m just plain lazy!!!

With age catching up with me, I can’t be a lazy bum anymore. It’s time to get an active lifestyle, even if I’m not sure how to do it with my tight schedule. Does walking up 5 storeys 3 times a day be counted as a form of exercise?

3 months

The mid year sale is on. There are Pop up trade show display everywhere on the streets, and it’s hard not to notice them. But I shall control my urge to shop, unless it’s related to our new place. My main priority is getting our condo ready in 3 months so that we can move in!

We have already told the landlord that we are moving out from his place, so I can’t be bothered if he’s not fixing the leak. I just can’t wait to move into our place, even if it’s smaller. But it’s ours. :)

Hawaii Five-O Has Been An Enjoyable Remake

Guest post written by Joseph Finch

I use the Free On Demand feature from my cable provider daily and the show Hawaii Five-O is included in my viewing schedule. I was happy to see actor Alec O’Loughlin back on TV after his last two shows didn’t make it. I loved him as a vampire on Moonlight and was sorry when CBS canceled that show. Three Rivers wasn’t quite as good, but I liked that show too.

Hawaii Five-O is an action police drama also starring actor Scott Caan. They are partners and work together to solve crimes. Daniel Dae Kim is Detective Chin Ho Kelly and how lucky is he. First he’s on Lost, which is filmed in Hawaii for six years and then a new show also filmed in Hawaii hires him. Anyway, Alex is Lieutenant Commander Steve McGarrett and he is searching for the man who killed his father in the first episode. He is from Hawaii and had moved away for a while, but is now back. The Governor hires him to search for the killer.

Scott is Detective Danny Williams and he moved to Hawaii to be near his daughter who came to the island with her mother and Danny’s ex-wife. Amazingly Danny isn’t very comfortable living in Hawaii, which I have a hard time believing.

I watch this Free On Demand television show on my satellite T from direc4u.com and have a perfect picture with every episode.

Retirement

With the ever raising inflation rate, it’s worrying that will we ever have enough money by the time we retire? Not to mention that most of us will have to set aside a huge amount for children education, and unless you are born with the silver spoon and have inherited a lot of money, it’s hard not to think about making more money once you have started a family.

Maybe it’s time I check out something like Missoula, MT wealth management group. I guess it’s time to seriously think about our financial condition and how and when are we going to retire. I don’t want to work hard all my life!
