Rants of life

Life in a foreign land

Floods

It still rains a lot at some part of Thailand, so most floods have not ceased. Imagine that if the cold season strikes again like last year, a lot of people will be suffering again. Most of them don’t have thick clothing and blankets, let alone heated gloves.

I really hope that these people are blessed with essential help. All of us can donate and do our part too.

Work work work

How many more years should I work so hard until I can shop like a brainless shopaholic who has too much cash to spend? I have a lot of things in my list now, including a few new bags, some jewelry from scott kay and Tiffany, and lots of shoes. Not to mention I want to spoil my kids rot as well.

So, I guess there is no other way than to work work work to achieve this! Or I must strike a lottery!

Drop!

Sales dropped slightly this month, and I’m sooooo unhappy about it. I know that the market has ups and downs, but I prefer to have up up up all the way then donw!!! Nevertheless, I won’t stress myself too much so that I won’t lose my mind and resolve to any nonsense and end up in luxury top rehab centers. :P

I just have to work harder and lead my team better.

Expensive

The cd annuity rates for expat insurance are very expensive. I am not sure if we should get one now. Maybe not at this current stage. I hate to pay a big sum of money and strain our financial situation. So I shall continue to get new quotes if any. It’s not in a hurry anyway, so let me concentrate on those things which are piling up on my plate now!

Spa

It’s been awhile since I really pamper myself. I hope that I will have time for it after we move into our new condo. There are a lot of spa and massage centers within walking distance, maybe there are some which offer dead sea bath salt in their spa packages. I can’t wait to get a good scrub, body wrap and body massage!

Hey, I deserve it, I have been working very hard this year.

Rushing at Work

Thanks to Olga Quinn

I rushed around all day today. This morning I had a thousand things to do at work. A colleague recently left without giving two weeks notice and I got saddled with all her work. So now I am doing to jobs with the pay of one. After buzzing around the office this morning , I ran home to let the installer from SECURITY CHOICE in the house. When I got home, I planned relaxing while I waited for the system to be installed before I rushed right back to work. Unfortunately, my neighbor two doors down caught me right as we were work. I sat there as she talked, I barely listened, just watched the clock. When the installers were done, I went back to the office. When I got back, I had even more work piling up on my desk. As I dredged through it ( double time) all I could think about was taking a long hot bath with I got home. Finally, I decided I was going to pack up and finish the rest of my work at home. Got halfway there and remembered I had left my laptop on my desk. I need a break!

Boring Life

Honestly, I think my life is pretty boring. I’ve been too busy with work, kids and home, I don’t have much time to do anything special or exciting. With limited friends around, I don’t even have any wedding invitation, let alone Baptism invitations or baby showers!

It’s been awhile since I go to a party, so I have stopped shopping for party clothes. I don’t feel like shopping until we have moved into our condo. After that, I should be shopping for winter clothing. I might be making a trip to oversea for training. So I guess that’s the most exciting thing which happens to me for the past few years!

Diamond!

I love diamond rings, the bigger the stones the merrier. LOL!  Too bad hubby and I have too many commitments these few years and I can’t go jewelry shopping. I hope that he will give me my dream cushion diamond ring one day, one that blinks enough to make my eyes sore. LOL!

How I wish that day will come true soon. :)

Tow Service

I wonder if we need a good breakdown service for our cars? Who knows? We might need a good tow car if our cars have ever broken down in the middle of nowhere. Ever since my car refused to be started a couple of weeks ago, I’ve started to have this phobia.

If hubby is around then I don’t have to worry much. But since I’m on my own most of the time, I must think of an emergency plan. With my language barrier, it would be hard to explain where I am!

So should I get one?

Money!

It’s beginning of the month and I’m already thinking about payday advances. Why? It’s because it’s time of the month to pay for furniture, renovation, next term school fees and etc. We are gonna be more broke. :P

I should make more money!!! That’s the only solution. Actually, it should be hubby should make more money! LOL!

So, how are we going to go though these 3 months? God knows.
